Mr Connor Haynes


Connor is an experienced audio engineer, sound artist, and experimental musician with over a decade of professional practice. Originally from Manchester, he has worked across a wide spectrum of the UK’s music and audio landscape, including live sound for major festivals, music venues, and studio work in numerous recording spaces and venues.

He has professional expertise in sound installation and A/V programming, particularly with Max MSP, and his installation work has been featured in The Sunday Times Culture Show. In addition to his technical work, Connor is active as a performer and collaborator in experimental sound and music.

Since relocating to London, Connor continues to work as a freelance recording, mixing, and mastering engineer, while also serving as a live sound engineer at various venues throughout the city. He is a member of The Self, an experimental audiovisual collective, and actively curates, engineers, and promotes avant-garde music events in South London in collaboration with The Music Room/The Old Library.

Connor brings a deep musical background, with over ten years of performance experience in Manchester’s band scene. His skill set includes advanced proficiency in Pro Tools, Logic Pro X, and Ableton Live, as well as competence in the restoration and repair of vintage audio electronics.

Notable artists he has worked with in live engineering roles include The Happy Mondays, Jon Hopkins, 2manyDJs, Chase & Status, Public Enemy, Stormzy, DJ Premier, Tune-Yards, and Toy. His ongoing creative research explores instrument design and electro-acoustic composition.
